Maiden Voyage for our new 5er
We just returned from a trip around a part of the Canadian Maritime Provinces with our new Montana High Country, In total we drove 3917 miles with an average fuel MPG of 14.3 for the trip. Broken down, 2100 miles with the trailer attached, 1800 miles sight seeing. Nary a problem with either the truck or the trailer though I did use a bit more DEF then expected so had to add a jug in Maine on the way home. I did find that the overall length (~59 feet total) on some of the Eastern US and Canada roads made for a few 'exciting' moments PLUS, the BlowMax tires held up just fine. This is a photo of the trailer on a Lake Champlain ferry. The azz end is almost hanging off the stern:

Glad you had a good time, and no issues along the way. Makes for a much more relaxing trip.
Been up that way twice. Really enjoyed it both times. Wanted to move there after retirement.
Post more pics if you can, always like to live vicariously through someone elses adventure.

As far as living/retiring in Canada, and the maritimes - I too could consider it, especially PEI, but the winters, according to every resident we talked, to would do me in. Then the cost of living, $25 twelve packs of beer, 14-15 percent sales tax, and lack of easily found common goods outside of the large cities would devastate my savings and pension.
