Russell Stainless Steel Brake lines on Ex

Does anyone have the Russell Stainless Steel (696490) brake lines on a stock height 4x4 Excursion? The 696490 is for a 4-5.5 inch lifted truck, but they don't offer a stock height kit.

I do not plan to lift my truck, but I might install air bags (front/rear) at some point in the future which could increase the height an inch or two.

Any information would be helpful.

Could you not get that kit and then just zip-tie the extra in a loop? Only reason I ask is I was thinking I would do that myself whenever I was finally able to afford to buy them in a few years

When you get his card, put me down for a set of the lines as well.

Not for this truck, I just meant in general It's a mod I really look forward to not only for the upgrade in the braking but the actual safety of the truck. This thing is getting oil changes and TLC... maybe some cheap LED mods, but that's about it.

I have the Crown lines throughout my X. He did make a custom set of the short axle lines for me. I have not had a single issue at all with them. I like that Crown offers them in colors. Mine are in Blue.

Ok I just got an email response from Crown Performance and he said the same thing. I just wish that they had an all-in-one kit.

I will probably go with the Crown ones if I don't hear from someone who put the 696490 kit on a stock height Ex.

House dad is your truck stock height and did you buy the stock height Crown ones or get the +1-3 inches?

I am stock + 1.5" ~. The lines are supposed to be good to 4" IIRC.

I bought the 4WD 4"-6" lift FORD74FR04 from Crown

I should add that I have a bit of extra room, but I figure it will allow them to reach extension without any stress on a lift. Same thing with the Dieselsite ESOF braided lines I have which are stock to 4.5".

I did settle on the Crown Performance (5 piece) kit. You have to call them to make the order since they don't list the 5 piece kit as an option.

I got the kit with an extra 2 inches for when I get air bags. The lines look great and there are no leaks.

I believe the total cost (from what I remember) was about $200 for all 5 pieces.
