Show me your aftermarket steering wheel

I need to decide what to do for a steering wheel on my project.

I like the stock wheel, but they're SO EXPENSIVE, and the horn button is $140 by-itself.

Some aftermarket wheels look nice, but it's hard to say what they look-like in the truck.

Does anyone have the Classic Wood wheel that's in the LMC catalog?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks! She's coming-together, I'll get some pics tomorrow.

I have a Grant steering wheel in my truck. Its rater small and blocks the gauge cluster from the driving position. However, I could not imagine fitting my 6'3" self behind the stock(larger) wheel.

Mine is a 15" Grant Signature Series wheel that I got off the Bay for cheap. It was the largest diameter I could find as my rig has "armstrong steering" and 31's!

I do have the wood wheel from LMC, but it is on my 66 F100 4x4. Looks great. Works better after the power steering was added.

I went with the 15" Grant Classic Nostagia. It was the closest I could find to the original Ford Sport steering wheel which I like the best.

I have the LMC wood version in my 78 F250. I think it looks great and I get lots of compliments on it. I sprung for the Ford emblem center button too. My truck is brown and white with a brown interior, so that may be a contributing factor for me. Feel and size seem just about perfect to me. If i'm ever in need of another one I'll go the same route. I'll see if I can get a picture posted for you after I get off newbie status.

Mine isn't LMC's but it is wood. I wish it was a few inches bigger around though

Thanks guys. I opted for the wooden/stainless "Classic" wheel. We'll see how it looks.

Buckin', that's the most high-tech '79 Ford dash I think I've ever seen!

I like my Grant signature wood wheel. It's comfortable as all get out and looks good, too.

My truck had a grant wheel in it when I bought it. Never really liked it. Opted for the ford sport wheel, looks much better.

My 75 F-150 came with one of those fat / small steering wheels. The state of Wisconsin
would not allow me to transfer my Collector Vehicle plates with a custom wheel,
fat spoked tires and a chrome air cleaner. I could not read the speedo with that goofy
steering wheel. Got rid of the custom stuff. Took new pictures and the title transfer
was approved.

I recently went aftermarket .... love how it feels, much more comfortable with smaller wheel that is closer to the size of the wheels on everything else I drive. I have had chrome wheels, but my favorite was a black spoked black foam grip wheel I put on my '69 Dart Swinger back in the '70s, it was a "Superior" brand. I found a Grant that was close .... but all black. I might swap on a chrome horn button with emblem like 9thPony has?

Grant #332 Winston Cup Style Wheel and #3285 adapter, all black, 14.5" OD, fat grip, steel spokes, 4" dish on front side, 5.125" deep from seem to face includes adapter.
