treadwright needs to address their pricing schedule for their All terrain treads, and the cost of shipping is KILLING them. Why would I buy a retread for my family cruiser when another $10 gets you a brand new cooper?

I was also a bit surprised that each one took over 6oz to balance.
Agreed, $40/tire for shipping? Not!

I was getting bored so I decided to start a new build. I'm not bored anymore. I have so many mods to do and so little time to do them.
Got an offer I couldn't refuse on the '11 so I figured I'd just start out again with a brand new warranty.

Nice! Short also lol. I hear what you are saying on the "bored" thing, but my $0 monthly payment on a 4.5 yr old truck that still has only 38,500 miles on it keeps me from doing something I might regret if I get laid off again this winter Are they the wheels off the '11?

No those wheels came on it. I put a 1.5" AS leveling kit and 295/60/20 Trail Grapplers on it.

Nice looking rig homeboy but it looks kinda weird in that there are so few two door short bed trucks on the road anymore.

Thanks Tim
Yea just a few of us old farts that still drive 2 doors.
It's fun to drive and it's pretty quick being so light, plus it has 4.10 gears.

Sweet!!!

Who locally (to you) can or more like, will do tires on those wheels, without scratching the crap out of them? My local NH shops either don't want to touch them or state up front that there will be damage. The OEM's have to go.

My Ford dealer damaged a wheel just by repairing a tire and they want to sell me four new shoes for my truck.

I am real disappointed in my Michelin LTX M/S2's. I have about 25k on them and they are shot. Granted I haven't rotated them in 10000 miles but the rear tires the center in worn down past the wear bars. Always inflated to 35psi and checked by the shop that put them on when they were rotated. Not sure why this tire didn't last, I think it is because the weight of the truck and P rated tires I have the 275-55/20. Truck is a 2011 Crew 4x4 with 6.5 box, Lariat. Looks like I may go back to Cooper, I'd rather pay less and get the same mileage.

I wonder if you would be eligible for some sort of warranty replacement? I had the same tire on my 2008 F150 Lariat 4x4 with max tow. I towed and hauled a lot with that truck. I had 70,000 on the tires when I sold it. I'm sure the tires were good for another 10k.

I don't think the LTX's come with a stated tread wear warranty. Probably won't get any assistance at all.

I would go to my tire dealer and find out for sure. This is from Tire Rack's web site.
6 Years / 70,000 Miles
Half mileage for rear if different size than front

6 Years / Free replacement first year, 2/32" or 25% of wear, then prorated until 2/32" remaining depth.
They also have a nice PDF document that spells out the whole thing.

I did this with a set of Yoko's on my '99 Taurus wagon. The sidewalls cracked and the tread wore faster than it should have. The tire dealer sold me a new set of Yoko's at a prorated discount.

Not sure I want a new set of them. Plus I think you need to provide pretty good documentation of rotation or they can deny the warranty prorate.
