Heated Mirrors on 05 powerstroke

I lost both heated mirrors at the same time. I did see the post on removing mirror when one did not work to check connection. would this be the same problem in both mirrors at same time. I checked fuse, seems fine. Any suggestions on where else the problem could be. Is there a transformer on power supply and should there be 12 volts to mirrors. Thanks for any help.

How did you check it? Just looking at does not always tell if it's good or not.
If you did not use a meter then it can still be the problem.
Look at F2.39 in this PDF just to be sure that you have the right one. I will also
add to this later after I get the diagram for you.

Sean

EDIT: I added some more PDFs. Both door & CJB plugs.

But I guess we can try. I'll do some looking

Ok lets do this the somewhat easy/hard way.
Unplug this plug C270J on the back of the CJB.
It has 16 pins. Take you mulitmeter and put it
in Ω and check pin #7 (DG/VT wire color) to ground. Do you
get anything? If yes what is it?
At this point you have both mirrors and the cable
and plugs/splices from that point to the mirrors.
If you get a good reading of about 15Ω (could be more or less)
then plug it back in. Very carefully (power will be on now)
go key on and back probe that same wire with meter set to voltage
20V DC range will do. Do you get 12V?

Now we will back probe C270F pin #5 (BK/WH wire color) meter on voltage DC
check to ground and you should see 0 V DC. Next place one
probe on the battery + post and check that same pin and you
should see battery voltage.

Each of these tests will isolate a section and give an idea on where to look next.
