Part # ID??

Can someone ID this part #? 8C 5798 and 8C 5799. They look like mounts and were in the extra box of parts with my 51.

Thanks in advance.

Lower shock mounts for the rear. They go under the axle tubes.

The U-bolts for the springs go through the four holes? This must have been an extra set, because there are already a set on the truck.

Thanks Truckee.

Hows the smoke up there? It was pretty bad here in the Carson Valley a few hours ago.

The 8C in the numbers tell you they are half ton parts. The similar looking numbers 7RD 5798/99 are the F-2 caps that are very sought after by guys doing Ford 9" axle swaps. These 8Cs are not so highly sought after. Stu

Your welcome and I will let you know Monday on the smoke. I just finished the weekend in New York with my daughter who is in the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. I fly into Reno in the morning.
