thermostat....gasket or not?

Adding a thermostat and can't remember if there is a gasket or "o-ring" that goes in or is it just lay the thermostat in and tighten it??

ok, answer, thermostat goes in first and then a o-ring and then the housing goes on - you then tighten it......done.
