Gasoline Brands

Been a diesel guy since 92. Just ordered a 2015 F350 crewcab with the 6.2l. From a mileage standpoint, from what I have read I should stay away from E85. Going to be tough because I have been a gulf/chevron guy forever. So what brands/blend are thebest to use with this engine? Thanks

I'm not much of a brand loyalist when it comes to gas. One shells gas might have more junk in it vs the other shell across town.
Now adays it's all the same anyway except for the additives. So I guess it's down to what additive package you want in your fuel and how well the station maintains their tanks and filters.
I usually fill at shell but have no issues with marathon speedway chevron or any other place except BP which I boycott on principle. In support of our gulf coast.

I typically fill at Kroger...... Don't know who supplies that gas but I get the discount plus it's so busy the fuel is always fresh.

I will also run a bottle of Lucas through it every so often.

Whatever 87 OCT is cheapest. Doesn't really matter, this engine will eat anything, and lots of it...

Same here. If you work this engine like it's supposed to be worked you won't have to worry about carbon build up.

I've had 3 brand new Ford trucks and not one of them would choke down cheap gas without a fuss.

Same here. I damn near put diesel in it the other day though. That would not have gone well.

I seems like I always see the same branded truck unloading gas at all fuel stops. I do live in a fairly small town though.

I prefer to run Chevron, but it is usually $.25 per gallon more. So around town unloaded, I run Arco or Sam's.
