My hopes of a long life on my 6.4 ended 06/14 at 207771 miles--#8 cylinder let go for some reason starting out on a month long trip. Est $22k to fix by Ford, it is now out to pasture til I can get everything off it I need. Then sell it.

I have 98K miles on mine. Deleted the DPF/DOC, EGR 4" exhaust from downpipe back at 88k back in April, 2015. I tow a 12k 5'vr roughly 2k miles a year. She's been reliable so far and am happy with her performance.

 

My 2010 f-450 has 85K on it. recently accuired. only put 1000 miles or so on it . changed all fluids, all filters, replaced shocks, fuel, oil, and coolant filtration systems.

found some metal in the primary fuel filter about 1000 miles ago and it still did not blow up.

I have a ticking noise a low RPMS if I am not under load.....so suspect is either a rod bearing or lifter.

runs great otherwise.....2000RPM at 60PMH...on 19.5's...so guessing 4.8 reaer

when it blows up I'll put in a rebuilt motor.
