'79 460 head removal issue/problem
I need to remove the intake and heads off of my 1979 F250 460. However, there is a pipe that is part of the air pump emission system along the back of te engine. The air horn on the back blocks the passenger side rear intake bolt. I bent the unit a little, to get the bolt out.
However, it seems this bent pipe runs to the back of the heads. Am I correct, and if som how do you remove the heads? I really can't see how they are connected to te heads, but it is all hard piped together.
Help!

Thanks Mike- whoever at Ford decided to rig that pipe and then bolt it to the back of the head, where it is almost impossible to remove, should be tied to a 460 and dropped in the ocean. It is impossible to remove the intake, with that P.O.S. in place. Then you have to remove the AC compresor, AC bracket and the power steering pump from the bracket, and remove the power steering bracket, all to remove the driver side head. Took me all frickin day.
