99 ford expedition won't run when outside temp is hot
Hey there, I have a 99 ford expedition 5.4l that has been having issues starting for the last few months. i noticed that when it was hot outside about 80 degrees or warmer, the anti-theft acts up and won't let my expedition start. i took it to the dealer and they said that the pats system in the instrument cluster was shorting out and causing the problem. they replaced the cluster to which it would start every time, but when i went to pick it up. it would do the same thing. it will crank but not run. they then said it was the transponder so they replaced that and it still will not start when it is hot outside. does anybody have any ideas as what would cause this.
