Hanging out with peter and Sharon since about 12 today. He is doing very well PT came in and was surprised at how ok he is and said she is happy with his ability to get around and his range of motion. They may let him go home today. He thanks all of you for the thoughts and prayers.

O boy ... I was reluctant to open this thread because I feared bad news but I am very glad to hear that he is ok.

Prayers go out to you Pete.

Was leaving to go up and see Pete around 4:30pm today when I called to make sure he'd still be there, and Pete told me to stay home. He said they were releasing him in a couple hours, so that's good news.

Gonna take some comfort food over to him tomorrow. Burger, lasagna, pizza, ice cream sundae....whatever he's craving.

Gotta resist the urge to reach over and poke him in the ribs though......

Thanks for posting that info Stewart. I attempted to post earlier that Peter was heading home but the ap crashed haha.

Phil, nothing short of a miracle here. Peter is over 6' and the top of his head is actually over the windshield when he drives the car. We know few things about the crash.

1. Per our California Highway Patrol CAD website when it happened: Vehicle not visible from roadway, Vehicle vs tree, Require 20ft of cable to recover.

2. Per nurse in ER from paramedic info vehicle rolled over.

3. Per Peter: Car was on its wheels when a paramedic showed him a picture of his car (mind you that at this point he was in and out of consciousnesses)

Summary so far: He rolled his tin-can convertible car 20 ft. off the roadway hit a tree and basically coulda walked away... If it were on video it sounds like it would be listed under those videos called "When its not your time to go". Thank God.
