Mechanical Temperature Gauge

I've read a lot of threads talking about temperature gauges and electric vs mechanical. No one has ever mentioned what brand they're using or how long they've had it. I'm going to buy a mechanical gauge and want advice on what to buy and what to avoid.

I'm using a parts store special. Whatever one they have in stock at AZ, I think. Works just fine for me, I saved my money for the special gauges on the pillar.

Back in the day, mechanical gauges were more accurate than electric units. I doubt that to be the case now, and I think it's too much of a pain to run the line for the mechanical gauges in the OBS trucks. Not to mention what happens if you loose a fitting or the line chafes inside the cab...

I like the looks of the SunPro StyleLine gauges. They come mech. or elec., black or white. I get them off Amazon.

Here's the style I have:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2-1-16-Stewart-Warner-Water-Temperature-Gauge-Black-/131290792437?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e918a81f5&vxp=mtr
That price kind of hurts though

Autogage is the cheaper line of Autometer, but they look ok and work great.
