2003 Ranger 3.0l Fuel pressure regulator

I have a 2003 Ranger 3.0L v6. I am trying to replace the fuel pressure regulator. It appears to be mounted permanently to the fuel rail and I need to know if this is the case or if I can replace just the regulator. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jon

Welcome to FTE.
The 03 Ranger fuel pressure regulator has been moved into the fuel tank as part of the fuel pump assembly. The can on the fuel rail that looks sorta like the pressure regulator that used to be mounted on the fuel rail, is a pulse damper to kinda even out fuel flow, but doesn't have any part in regulating fuel pressure.
If your having fuel pressure problems, post up the KOEO & KOER numbers your getting. Edit: more info here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post14609203
