94 f150 tranny

on my 94 f150 4x4 auto trans 5.0
my motor revving up seem not be shifting
I tried shifting manual seem to work when I get 60 I push in overdrive
it on my shifter was told it might be trans with 160xxx on it
I put in some lucas trans slipping oil in trans still no help
what can I check for ? tranny fluid is full
no leaks only motor revving up in rpm seem take long to shift
thanks. I hope its not transmission

Sounds like you have the E4OD trans which is 100% computer controlled so step #1 is to pull the codes.

I will do it morning I read that motor has to be good and warm
before it work. I tried code reader when it was cool. ty for reply

my truck does that too goes limp just being light on the throttle it revs up then goes back in gear i was told it was the sensor

Yes the TR or TP sensors will cause that but you need the CM codes that come after the KOEO codes.
A E4OD will do it also if you have a 4X4 with a 2 wheel filter in it.

Now you have to change the transmission fluid to get that junk out of the transmission. Never put anything in the transmission but Mercon V atf.

ok the bad and the good news
I tried code obd1 didn't find anything yes I did it right.
ok as I said yesterday I added some lucas oil for trans did not help
few months ago when I got the truck check eng light was on no code
got it from oriley check light went out.
then had trans flush didn't change filter .
since I added lucas trans oil for slipping.

so I took it in to tra said
transmission shop they drove it said its not trans
but the fan clutch so he called napa and it was not the same as oriley
guy said said I need the thin one. so the flush and change filter
he said filter look good so it cost me $225 for flush
and I put in new fan clutch it was job
now truck running great no more revving up
ty for advice all

If the "check eng light was on" (MIL) you will have a code in CM unless you disconnected the battery.
You stopped after the electrical check (KOEO) and did not continue on to the CM codes. So no you did not do the codes right unless you disconnected the battery.
Disconnecting the battery will clear all of the CM codes except the memory error code.
If you truly have no codes in CM after the MIL was on then you have a bad PCM Computer unless you disconnected the battery.
