Truck has been running fine, finally had to put new batteries in, but now having a weird start issue wether cold or hot, sometimes she fires right up, others it seems to need significant more cranking, almost like a gasser that is loaded up, so without driving myself totally nuts I'm gonna shoot for FICM, what else should i test for that might cause this ..??
I have a Scan Gauge 2 but was just looking to narrow it down, have not checked anything yet but was going to start with the FICM. I don't think pulling the ICP sensor plug, because it always starts, just takes longer certain times than others. So just wondering what tests to pay more attention to with this issue instead of going thru the whole SG.
Doesn't matter wether cold or hot, and it cranks pretty consistent, so I'm thinking the starter is OK. Something's weird, just wondering if maybe the FICM is getting weak.
sounds like a starter longer cranking times and faster slower during crank
You win, it was the starter, I've had a lot of starters go, but this one just went in a weird way, kinda slowed down, then just stopped , no classic clicking sound ! Well on to a starter search !
