If you get the 7000, its only $20 a gallon. The 9000 full syn is the expensive stuff. The 7000 with the moly is not a full syn.

A little update to this thread, since it matters... I had the help of Bill and Travis brainstorming with me on this issue last night, since it returned. I had done an oil change back to Rotella and the issue was gone for a couple of weeks. Well, it reared its ugly head again this past week and seemed to be getting worse by the hour. I was about to pull my hair out. It was running SO darn good and then this. I was watching my fuel pressure Saturday while it was idling and noticed it would drop to zero and then climb back to seventy. I have been through 3 gauges on the new system and finally coughed up the money to get a good liquid filled diesel gauge from Summit. It has been good for the last 4 months, but I really thought it was the gauge again. Travis and Bill both said maybe I ought to trust it this time and see what the issue is with losing fuel pressure, which is causing it to stumble and miss under load.

Long story short, E-Fuel systems, mine anyway, function from the Oil Pressure switch which runs the pump. I tested the relay and the pump which both passed with flying colors. I crawled under to check the OP switch while the pump was running. The wires were somewhat loosely connected and when I would play with them, the pump would click and clack and make some odd noises. SO.....went to Napa, got a new OP switch for $16, cleaned the connections, and replaced it....wallah!!!!! Truck runs like its new. I hate to even say it on here and hope its not a fluke, but the OP malfunctioning would cause the pump to shut on and off in micro seconds. I believe this is what was causing the missing-stumbling-LOTS of power-stumble again.

Clear as Stout on a foggy day? Good! LOL Anyways, thanks again to this forum. I think I have the problem solved. Its still getting new injectors this winter, but this issue was driving me insane since I have a big trip ahead of me pulling our trailer and I want it to be as good and stress free as possible. Hope this helps anyone with E-Fuel if they experience the same thing. It just seemed to be a fluke thing, but it wasn't.

I’m already on
the hunt for a better pressure switch, unfortunately they
all seem to be “made in china”. I’ve
got my “industrial” guys working on finding me
something that’s higher quality, but I’m afraid
that if they have something it will be so much more
expensive that nobody will want to go that route. </td></tr></tbody></table>
