That'll work! It may not have exactly the same programming as yours but it will work none the less. If you run a chip it doesn't matter much anyway.

Thanks Nate! Question: can I take to to the dealer and have it updated and reprogrammed just for the hell of it or is it totally just blowing income?

You can have it reprogrammed, but I doubt you'll ever be able to tell a difference. My suggestion would be to get it and wrap it up good and leave it in a box behind the rear seat. Cheap insurance anyway...

Thief! That is a steal. Get a spare IDM, wrap the two up in some aluminum foil, then bubble-wrap, stashed in a box, and you'll have the only truck on the block that will start after the zombie apocalypse EMP blast....

Ya, that's a heck of a deal! I bought a spare for mine but it cost me 125 iirc. Still not bad, but not 50 bucks!!

I've got a spare idm too, guess I better get some aluminum foil and bubble wrap!

By the ECM code. There was chart somewhere with all the codes

Edit....
http://www.thedieselstop.com/faq/949.../pcmcodes.php3

BEG8 looks like a 94 and ALOT of them you cannot retrieve codes from or even read with a scanner
