Flame thrower kit
#2
Are you setting something up for a show?
Probably not done in a cat; cats catching fire is a really bad thing to happen. They will melt down, and because of where they're usually located, can set fire to carpets. (Ask me how I know...)
And besides, for those insecure, attention-starved people who just have to show off by blowing flames, they usually install them at the tail pipe. In any case, throwing flames is dangerous, and it may be illegal in many states to modify your exhaust to produce MORE emissions like that.

The flame thrower kits are not for catalytic converter equipped vehicles.
The latest models are 100% organic and made with a gluten-free soy curd flaxseed granola mix, so no problem there.

When we engaged in such foolishness we made our own from a spark plug, a Model T coil and some wire. then we'd just pull out the choke to enrich the fuel mixture and lite 'er up. Tuff to find a choke on a newer car though...

Foolishness indeed. Closing the choke to run raw gas through the engine will wash off the oil in the cylinders, causing excessive wear. Then, when you light up the over-rich exhaust, some of that will burn back up the tail pipe, or if you had thermactor air injection, that mixture will explode, and take out your exhaust system. I've seen backfires like that blow out a muffler or two.
Unless you're in the type of automotive show biz where you're doing this to entertain an audience, it's a really bad idea to try.
