Cam Issues -- Is this cam right?

(see https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-do-wrong.html for more info)

I have a Typ4 cam that I'm not sure about.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get ahold of Typ4 via PM, *or* Delta Cam grinding(who I believe actually ground the cam), so I'm posting here hoping for some more knowledge.

Anyway, to put it succinctly:
1. With the new cam in, I had slight interference issues on all cyls.
2. The cam seems to measure a greater lobe height difference than the cam is supposed to be:
My cam grinder split patterns the cam and increases the intake lift to 261 lobe lift/392 valve
exhaust remains stock with 253 lobe 380 valve.
What I measured:
Cyl | Min | Max | Lift(Difference)
8 EXH | 1.496 | 1.770 | 0.274
8 INT | 1.475 | 1.747 | 0.269
7 EXH | 1.492 | 1.766 | 0.274
7 INT | 1.478 | 1.750 | 0.272
6 EXH | 1.496 | 1.768 | 0.272
6 INT | 1.476 | 1.750 | 0.274
5 EXH | 1.503 | 1.776 | 0.273
5 INT | 1.484 | 1.758 | 0.274

Is this still a Typ4/Torque Cam, or did someone mistakenly grind me something different? A R&D cam perhaps?

3. I've shimmed the rockers .030 and cleaned all my lifters; all of them are working right, and the rockers are within 0.5-1 turn of lifter preload to tight.

After shimming, my horrible clatter went away, and I know I'm not hitting the pistons anymore.
However, I found a new problem(which may not be related):
When I first started this new engine(on my test stand), it sounded good. Nice, smooth and consistent. It smoked a bit at first, but cleaned right up and idled fine.
I checked the lifters at this point and they were all tight -- all had pumped up from empty.
I put the engine into the truck. Started it up, sounded good. Shut it off.
I finished putting everything together, and started it for a third time and let it run for 5 minutes. Over that time, it went from sounding good, to smoking and running on 7 and then 6 cyls. I checked the timing, and at this point I was getting intermittant firing and about 13 degrees retarded compared to stock, with the IP lines lined up.
Advanced it a few degrees and it sounded better but still horrible. I know the IP gear is appropriately installed -- Y to Y, and cam dot to dot.

My thoughts are either my IP just totally failed somehow, such that it lost all advance, or cam/compression issues mean that it's not building up enough pressure until late.

And I'm still worried about that cam being 'right' or needing to be advanced/retarded.

Any thoughts?

I am no expert, but if you had clearance issues, is it possible you bent a valve or two?

I pulled the heads; all the valves looked fine. Check the previous topic for pictures.
I did bend one single pushrod slightly, though. But only one. I suspect the lifters 'gave' just enough.

That being said, how exactly could a valve get bent? I mean, they're square to the piston!
On other engines where the valves come in at an angle, I can see it... But the weakest link is most certainly the pushrods, due to how thin they are.
