I like the 05 - 07 F 250 Instrument Cluster better than our stock excursion's. It is just plug and play or is it much more complicated.

 

I would assume much more complicated, if it wasn't then there would be several threads of people that had done it

Look at the back where the plugs are. You would have to re-wire everything to get it to work so basically no, it cannot be done Also the odometer is mechanical on our cluster and digital on the newer ones so I have no idea what the hell you would have to do about that.

 

My Ex has that cluster with the electronic odo.

its an 05, with the canadian KM's.

My ex is late 05 ex 6.0 with an 05 engine. I have an electronic odometer as well. Guess i need to take out my cluster and look at the connections.

 

So is mine, you have the first one shown. Electronic odometer came out on the 02's plus.
Think they are referring to second pic which the excursion never saw from factory.
I have seen people convert, just recently saw an 03' with the conversion. I never asked because when I took a closer look at it, it wasn't lined up to my satisfaction. So in my opinion although the dash looks nicer and modern the alignment in this case looked like crap. Just my .02
