Hail and well met Washington chapter

Hail and well met all!!

My name is Charlaine. I'm from elk Washington and am now the proud owner of an 1969 f250 camper special. She has a 360 under the hood and I believe that she has the c6 tranny. She's rear wheel drive. No four wheeling.
She's in need of some work. Exhaust manifolds need new gaskets and bolts with a few that need to be removed with and extractor. The carb needs to be adjusted and I need to replace that icr. I also need to replace the tranny pan gasket as well as the oil pan gaskets. I'm thinking of replacing the head gaskets as well as the valve cover gaskets just to be safe. The p.o. Didn't take care of her at all. I'm also searching the pick in pulls for some of the smaller parts I need. I'm also going to build a custom center console to house my cb and the new radio. Once I get the engine work done I can then save up for the body work as I'm planing to have her body gone through and fixed up the. Fully painted To match her namesake "Pearl".

Hello!

I make a living pulling/selling junkyard parts, if you want to throw up the list of parts you're looking for I can either let you know where they are or pull them for you.

Would LOVE to see photos of the truck! We all like pictures.

Which styles of Rearview Mirror, Hubcaps and Spare Mount? There are multiple styles.

I find headers in junkyards but the only FE sets I've ever seen have been low quality junk and rusted up bad.

At least once a year I do a run over the mountain if you'd like me to pull parts we can discuss that through PMs.

The rear view mirror mount I have is a round dot with a ball coming off it.
The hubcaps I guess the dog bowl kind.
And I'm not sure as to the spare mount. I know it goes in the bed but I'm not sure if goes on the side of the aux tank bump or the passenger side.

Pictures, save a 1000 words, which is great if you're not fond of typing. haha

Seriously though if you can get photos up then it would make it a lot easier, and you'd being showing off more of your loved truck.

You want a factory spare mount or any In-Bed aftermarket spare mount? The aftermarket ones can be found pretty easy and had cheap both new and used.

Are you wanting a mount on the windshield type rearview or the style that screws to the sheet metal above the window?

Hubcaps are easy to get, huge year range on dog dish caps. Best bet is talk to one of the Processors at the JY and ask them to set a nice set aside for you for a couple $s in their pocket. Otherwise they usually destroy them as it's quicker to get them off just smacking them with a hammer, used to be a part of my job.

Your wiper fluid reservoir the Bag style or the Plastic container?

The mirror may prove kind of difficult as they usually get wasted by the trucks getting moved by forklifts at yards.

Welcome to the chapter! Sorry about the late intro, but I'm the chapter leader round here. Just not on a lot . Thats a pretty nice truck you got your hands on. This chapter isn't the busiest of them all but it's picked up quite a bit recently. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Oldford my wiper res is the white tank that mounts on the drivers side with the small black cap and the pump mounts on the bottom. I found I thing the original mirror and from what I can see I just need the connector part. as far at the factory mount i would like an original bed mount. I'm not sure of the hubcaps that went with my year of truck. Also can the original bottle jacks able to be found or should I just buy a newer one and have the c bracket made for it.

The jacks can be found.

As for the rest of it, I need pictures as just about every part you're looking for has multiple different styles in the 67-72 body style. Beyond that, it's 40+ years old and by the looks of the mis-matched mirrors and condition of the truck it's hard telling what else has been changed.

YAY!

Now I don't have to worry about wasting my money buying the wrong parts.

Acquired the mirror mount piece but not happy with the condition so gonna see if I can get my hands on a better one.

Also, someone said that Oriellys sells factory reproduction mirrors and parts cheap. Guy paid around $40 a piece for Western style mirrors, just had to buy the mounts and heads separate.

Will keep hunting.

I don't think the in-bed tire carrier will work in your bed
