My sticker says 45/55 psi...2005 V10. Go here for a pic Ford Truck Picture by RobRoss | 1916308 | Ford-Trucks
FWIW, on my truck I've played with air pressure and I have always like the 10 psi delta between the front and rear. I run 50/60 with my 285/75/16, load range E Michelin AT2s.

The reason the sticker is gone is that Firestone and Ford required all of them to be remove when the D rated SteelTex ATs were recalled during the big Firestone recall when the Explorers were rolling over. I've owned mine since new, and received a recall notice from Firestone and Ford, took it to a Firestone dealer and all 4 tires plus the spare was replaced with E rated tires with at least 55psi. The Excursions came with D rated tires on them and the door sticker stated something to the effect "for pleasure riding, tires should be inflated to 28-32psi". Which is partially what was wrong with the Explorers. Tires not rated for the weight they were carrying and the low tire pressures building up heat and blowing out. I keep my fronts at 65 and the rear at 70 and have never had a wearing issue with any them.

Personally I use the chalk line method to set the tire pressure when I get new tires, then usually check it every 5000 or so.

I thought that whole write-up was great until I got to the last sentence;
]One last note
The last three methods described above require patience and attention to detail. If you can’t dedicate your focus to the process, then use the max pressure noted on the sidewall.
It was kind of like going on a date and then she says; "Oh, could you just drop me off at the crack house on the corner".........lol

I just run stock steel wheels no tires. No soccer mom ride BS, no PSI to babysit, nothing. Sure the ride is about as rough as an inmate to a fresh fish but I save a load of money on tires. You guys are little ladies riding around on your rubber pillows. Just go buy a Smart car and be done with it. Don't chip a nail!
