If you tow or actually use your truck like a truck and haul stuff keep it 9.5:1 or so
I'd also talk to your Machine shop see what they say .

My truck is just a toy with a couple lowes runs here and there , but nothing heavy .

No towing at all. Just something to cruise in (mostly in town but a few trips to lowes as well).

your heads are probably c8ae-h most common with a 72cc
flat tops with valve reliefs will get you in the 10:1 but your machine guy needs to help you with the pistons , if he shaves a little then you have to do the math .

I hear ya, they were pretty good with everything when I built the small block for my 67' bronco. Sounds like I have all the info I've been looking for. This is a great forum!

i went with the h395p sealed power , my actual C/R is 9.91:1 or so
