Hello, New to the site and I am looking for some transmission advice. This truck is my coal hauler so I would hate to lose her. The transmission does not want to go into reverse, if it tries it grinds. Then when you shift into to drive it will grind again, eventually smoothing out but at a loss of power.
My wife was driving it for a week so I don't know what or how this started (no I am not blaming her, she kept telling me something was wrong). It will still drive at this point but I don't dare try reverse, and if she were a standard I would say the clutch was slipping. Before I junk her I thought I would swap out the tranny, but I am not sure which one she takes.
