Hi I just picked up a 1991 F700. It was a Schwan's food delivery truck when it was new. It is setup to run on LP now but it looks like all the gasoline stuff is stiil on the motor. I want to setup it to use both. I plan to use it to pull my gooseneck trailer hauling antique tractors. The flatbed has a section that you lift out with a gooseneck ball below.

The engine is a 429 and the transmission is a 5 speed that I would call a 4 speed plus a low. The shifter has a switch for the 2 speed rear end. Everything seems to work well and drove better than I expected on the way home from the auction. 55 mph really seems to be the sweet spot with 60 being ok. I would not want to run above 65 for any length of time but I did not get this to win any races.

I will take some more pictures and upload them soon. I am hoping to find out any information I can specifically about the LP conversion.

this is my truck that I have been using. I decided it was time to upgrade to a dually with a manual. I was looking for a F350 dually like mine with the big 4 door cab manual transmission and the 7.3.

Looks like a pretty clean truck, How is the Rust/Rot factor on it ? I have been putting together a 83' F-700, Just repaired a Drivers side floor section, all painted now, about ready for rear lights then Inspection.

Absolutely zero rust on the cab. I have no clue why.

I need to get it to a scale soon so I know what plates to buy for it.

Saturday I used the new truck for the first time. I went to fill it up with LP and get it weighed. The truck with the empty trailer tongue weight is 10700 and combined is 17000. It runs down the road really well and stops so much better than my pickup. I took two tractors and plows to put away for the winter. The 1800 is 8300 pounds plus the plow, I forgot to take pictures of that load. The 1650 below is 8000 plus the plow. I am really happy with the truck and think I made a good purchase.

I have a 1991 F-700 also, but with a dump. I love it. You picked up an awesome truck. Great find. By the way, your whole set up is sweet!
