the mystery is solved.

it is an XLT that someone stuck an FX4 badge on the bed.

your front F-150 badge says XLT. so someone did the infamous sticker swap.

you also have the 6r80, NOT the 4r75e. your gear indicator says PRND321, but D includes more than just 4th. it will allow 4th, 5th, and 6th. just for reference.

then why did you say it was an FX4?

mileage has much more to do with vehicle use and driver habit than it does with the engine and transmission.

if your gear indicator says PRND321, (and it does) you have the 6speed (and you do). if you had the 4sp your indicator would show PRND 21. the 4r75e was not available with the 3v engine and was only put behind the 2v versions in 09-10.

count your shifts. you will feel 5. if you are really in tune you will feel the torque converter lock up in 3rd.

for more 6sp fun. drive down the road about 50-55 and pull the lever down into '3'. you will feel the engine drop to 5th, 4th and 3rd. for even more fun, jam it down into '1' at whatever stupid speed you want. it will only downshift to a gear below redline, meaning you can't overspeed the engine by downshifting too far. it can surprise you when it drops into 2nd or 1st at what feels a ridiculously high speed, but it won't over-rev by doing so.

for even more 6sp fun, drop the shifter into '1' and floor it. these trucks have a very soft rev limiter. it will come up to your redline and just smoothly stop pulling. kinda fun.

and yes, i've done everyone of these.

When I had the trans checked at the dealer 3mon ago for a flush they had 4sd on paper work
i'd be more worried that they used the improper flush procedure than i would that they wrote down the wrong type of trans on the paper. the 4r75e does not require heated fluid for the flush procedure to work, the 6r80 does. if they did not get the trans up to 180 degrees and use a heated flush machine, then you got screwed.

putting all of that aside ....

where are you with your truck?

there is an engine noise you seem to be concerned about still? it may be normal, it may not. the modulars are not what i would ever consider a "quiet" engine, but that's JMO. injectors make noise, the followers and lash adjusters (AKA lifters and rockers) make more noise than you would think, the exhaust can make more noise than you might expect.... OR you could have some mechanical problems, like a stuck lash adjuster or a cracked manifold.

you could try posting up a video, but without a frame of reference sometimes the noises get lost depending on the camera used. this might be a better job for someone local. compare it to your friend's truck who's you say is identical. if you aren't happy with, or don't believe your dealer, find another, or a local mechanic who comes by word of mouth.

there seems to be a front end noise?
judging by that massive hunk of steel you have hanging off the front, i wouldn't be surprised if your ball joints have cried "uncle". easy to check, just jack the truck on the control arm as close to the ball joint as you can, then pry the spindle up, down, left, right, in, out and see if the spindle moves at all. if it does, your ball joints are shot and need to be replaced.

could also be a control arm bushing or a sway bar end link. end links are easy to check by just looking underneath. bushings are much harder to check and may be a good job for a pro who knows what to look for.

how are your tires wearing? any cupping going on? some lugs worn more than others? if so, this could be a major clue as to where you should be looking.

just some thoughts ...
good luck

Well I thought the FX4 was an XLT package first time FORDER LOL

Ooo yea on the Tranny ideas done a couple lol then nail rev limiter

Ok I will try and do video clips aswell

The BANGINg noise happen even when factory was on and pruor to tires the wheels where added from the dealer along w BF Goodrich

I rotate tires every month its a habbit

One otger thing
If im parked in a decline the truck sputters out even on full tank

If im parked on incline the gauge moves up vise versa..

I did also have to get the hubs replaced 2wks after geting the truck because the would randomly try and lock in dealer gave hell on replacing them
