Replaced #5 injector and it tossed a code after install.

As the title says.

Only code I had was P0603 before the injector was replaced.

After I had it all back together and started I had a P0205, P0603, P0670.

I resolved all of the codes. The P0205 and P0603 have not returned after an hour of driving. The P0670 was related to to my failure to get the glow plug harnesses fully plugged into place. Man those were a pain!

So why would I get a code for the #5 injector after putting a new one in at start up?

Cleared all the codes fixed the wiring issues and no codes.......wife took it out and beat on it after i did an hour in it....

I was just wondering if getting the injector code was normal or not...

I changed a bad glow plug and cleared the code. It came back.
Then the next day after an over night sit. It was gone and has
not come back. Got to think that the PCM has a hard time
forgetting things sometimes.

Well the only code that keeps popping up is P0275!

The truck runs smooth and does not have a noticeable miss like it did with the old injector. It is hard for me to believe I have valve damage or a dead hole as good as the truck runs.

I talked with Run6.0Run today for a bit! Thanks Anthony for the time, It is much appreciated!

I am going to do a bubble test tonight.

I am at a lose here and and beside myself!

Ok just finished up doing the bubble test and nothing at all.

So that would mean my injector seals are good.

For then that don't know a P0275 is a Cyl #5 contribution test/Balance issue.

Not sure what could be causing the issue. What did Anthony say?

How did the space around the valve springs look?

Sean

P.S. PM on the way check you mail.

I have not seen a DTC since yesterday. So I am hopeful that it was just a gremlin that is not an issue!

Update to this dilemma!!

I finally got my AE set up and going. I cleared everything possible on the truck and have been code free for 36 hours. The power Balance test shows all injectors are very close to each other. There are none dropping out and I have zero misfires.

I am hoping it is totally resolved but am not holding my breath.

I am leaning towards a possible ECU issue.
