batteries

im looking to get new batteries for my truck but im not sure what the best brand to get is my truck sits for a few months at a time when im out driving my semi
what do yall think? thanks

Everyone seams to have there favorite, I use the motorcraft batteries. Can you plug in a battery tender? That would really be best in your case.

unfortunately no i cant are parking lot is just a fenced in lot no power

I wonder if a battery disconnect might not be a good idea in that situation. A high quality battery can stand more abuse but no battery is going to stay fully charged with a 50ma load for months. The truck will have to go through the relearn process when they're re connected but the batteries would be in significantly better shape. There are heavy duty switches for that purpose or pulling one of the cables on each battery may be worth the effort.

Battery disconnect + Solar charger.

Even better would be to remove the batteries and keep them on a tender at home or wherever. Reinstall when needed.
