Excursion Tail Lights and 3rd Brake Lights (IPCW options)

Black excursion, right now it's black and chrome. I'm trying to decide between the clear, smoked, and bermuda black.I guess I'll just match the 3rd tail light to whatever i get there.

Have any of you guys got pics of these light installed on your trucks?

What is "Bermuda Black"? That's a new one to me. Just no chrome

My truck is black and chrome so I'm thinking of leaning towards Platinum Smoke or Bermuda black. Crystal clear may look too "Altezza" style for me.

Ruby Red

Bermuda Black

Platinum Smoke

Crystal Clear

If you can't say anything nice...

The "Platinum" and "Clear" look cheesy to me, just sayin'.

Sorry, could not help myself.

I been thinking of this mod for a along time, I think the best look for a black truck is painting all three in black but not too dark. Someday I'll get it done.

Something like this...

Use some VHT nightshade on the current one I guess? I don't see great reviews for any of the 3rd party ones.

Yes, I've heard good things about the product... When I'm ready I'll have a local body shop do it with 4-5 coats of clear over it.
Had it done to my Mustang GT, but a little too dark wifey got a ticket for it a few years back. LEO had nothing better to do that day I guess.

I have the black LED tails on mine and they are sharp, I would definitely recommend getting them. I haven't found a LED 3rd brake that fits, the Recon offering sure as hell didn't.

Wouldn't be that hard to just make your own LED third. Really just need a few LED strips, Dremel the back of the housing open, clean up the ridges inside, mount LED strips, reseal backside of panel with some RTV (taped off to make clean edges) and reinstall. Not going to see the backside of it, and the red lense is dark enough to not see the RTV from the other side.

Necro-Bump!

It's been a few years, are these lights still holding up for you guys?

I'm also looking for 3rd brake options. It looks like IPCW doesn't make a third brake light that matches their ruby red tails.
