2001 4.6l Romeo cam journals/caps..Help

So,

I got a 4.6l Romeo making the awful tick/knock sound, sounds more like a knock. Anyways, I pulled the rh cam/valve cover off to have a look. I know the engine is old and worn so I wasn't expecting much but what I found has stopped me dead in my tracks. After I pulled the rear caps from the cam I found serious wear, as seen above in giant pictures . So, swap heads out, motor maybe, Captain Obvious. I need to get out cheap for now till I find another motor to rebuild and install. What r you thoughts on this? What would Jesus do?

This truck is a recent buy. The oil was clean when I pulled the dip and it was marking full.

So... after checking the lower half of the engine my fears were confirmed, bad rod bearings. I suspect this was a result of using the wrong viscosity oil driving under harsh conditions/heavy load. My solution was a new to me junkyard engine pulled from a police interceptor, that ran 500.00. Junkyard mechanic installed for another 500.00
For that price I didn't complain, I charge double that price anyway. I checked the work up and down once I got home and the old guy did a pretty good job.
GOOOOOD Karma to you OLD GUY! and he doesn't even know hehe.
