Normal to smoke after replacing o-rings?

Hey everyone, after replacing injector O rings I am still seeing a little bit of blue smoke at idle. How long does it take for the system to get to normal?

I probably only have about 40 miles on the Alliant rings I replaced over the weekend. The truck use to smoke blue very badly at startup unless the engine was nice and warm.

Now I have about 95% less blue smoke at cold startup, and it does a wispy blue smoke for a couple minutes when cold. I noticed at the end of my 18 mile commute, some blue smoke came back at a stoplight.

Could this still be things seating in? I read you need to drive the engine hard to really get things all bled out.

Thanks

Its very common. It can take up to 200 miles to work the air out of the system/get back to normal.

Cool. Good to hear. It definitely seems better than it was but I was hoping it would get even better. Drive it hard? Drive it normal?

Blue smoke is probably from residual oil that got into your fuel passages when the injectors were out. Sooner or later it *should* clear up.

Or you still have oil in your fuel tank caused by your old o rings.
