Seats and floor pan

Have a 95 F350 7.5 E4OD DW, it's extended cab with the separate bucket seats with built in headrests and the small flip seat in the center. These are the most uncomfortable seats I've ever had. Going camping this afternoon so after looking here at the threads about the seats and floor pans yesterday I went to the bone yard. Took a split back bench seat and tracks from a 93 F150 extended cab and seat belts. Tried to bolt it in but it doesn't come close to the mounts. Tracks appear to be same shape as floor but narrower and longer than what was there, no reinforcement plates to bolt to. Did I miss something in the threads? Thought as long as I stayed with the extended cab or used Bronco seats it would be the same. Have to check it out when I get back this weekend. Only thing I noticed in the floor between the 2 trucks was the 150 had a small trans hump and mine has a large even though it's an automatic.

I noticed when shopping for carpet for my 95 crew cab E4OD that there was listings for a HIGH hump auto. I never did see a listing for a low hump auto but did see listings for the manual shift which had no mention of hump size. I haven't ordered carpet yet.

I thought like you as long as you stayed with an extended cab truck you'd be fine. I take it the seats you pulled looked correctly mounted. Maybe someone swapped in seats from a regular cab or crew cab into the extended cac..

I also don't know the difference in the seats, but if you like the seats or can't take them back and find the correct seats then you'll have to use some ingenuity and make some adapter plates to get the seat bolted down. If you do make adapter plates, make sure you weld the plates to the seat rails, I've seen people where they use only bolts and the bolts could fail in an accident.

That is a shame you think those seats are uncomfortable.

As for the SUPERcab seats from thje 93 not fitting your 95 SUPERcab, I am befuddled

I'm with Brad on that. The only way those seats won't bolt up is if they are aftermarket or somebody frankenstiened them in the truck you got them out of.

Not sure if this means anything but sometime during the 90's the Crown Vic's got a different transmission which necessitated a different transmission tunnel in the floor pan.

I drove dozens of CV's when I sold them… but my mother-in-laws '06 had a huge trans tunnel and made her car uncomfortable to drive with my size 13 Yetti feet.

Maybe that's the difference? Don't know… jus throwing it out there.

Just curious.. Are the manual truck's floor boards also the same as auto's? Other than the hole for the shifter.

What about 4x4 trucks are they also the same?

I just want to make sure the carpet I get most definitely will fit correctly.

Yes. the bolt on trans tunnel hump is taller for the manual trucks, but there is enough slack in the carpet to fit in either truck.

4wd make no difference either

Thanks for the info on the carpet/floor hump. Both seats and tracks are totally stock. 93 bench seat has a 92 Ford part number molded into the foam. Didn't see a number on the 40/20/40 but they have the lumbar air pumps and all was plugged in correctly. All factory bolts and trim. Won't bother to take back, was only 20.00 and included a good dash pad. Just got back from camping this afternoon and will try to get some pics over the weekend. Thanks for the replies though.
