I lowered an 86 stepside years ago, it was a F-150. Does your F-100 have the smaller car bolt pattern or the bigger truck pattern? If you have the truck pattern the DJM dream beams will work, that's what I used for the 86. I have an 80 F-100 now with the car pattern and unless I want to go to truck wheels, which I don't I'm going to have to go to something like a Fatman MII kit. I love that these trucks lowered, I wish Ford trucks had a bigger lowered following cuz they look great!

That's about how mine sat, I think it was a 3/4 drop. They do look good lowered, IMO of course. My 92 flareside I dropped 5/7, I used a BellTech kit. I think the quality was much better than the DJM, but they didn't offer a kit for the 86 and down trucks. I had to return one of the dream beams because it was made wrong and the front end shop couldn't get it in line. DJM exchanged it with no problem but I had to go through the trouble of disassembly/reassembly.
BlueThru, great looking truck.

The rear has the DJM shackle flip kit. There's 2 holes in the shackle kit you could use and i used the lower one. Which makes the bed higher. So I could go about an inch lower in the rear if i had used the other hole.
I used my stock springs in front and replaced all 4 shocks with stock replacements.
The DJM products were of excellent quality and had a great finish. I'm very happy wth the overall results
