Finally joined the X family

I have always loved the excursion so after selling my 08 reg cab F350 I went on the hunt for a new truck. This search led me toy new 2000 excursion. All I can say is I absolutely love it. She has the v10 and 3.73 gears and only 62k miles. It has new manual warn hubs, greasable ball joints and tie rod ends, cold air intake and an aluminum rear diff cover. This truck will haul and tow quite often so suspension mods will begin shortly. I will definitely have questions along the way but feel I have a good plan. A snow plow will also end up on it so " springs will be installed as soon as I can source some. I did just pick up rear leaf springs from a camper package f250.

Picts to follow

Welcome to the Addictio.....I mean....Club!

Congrats on the "new to you" Excursion in Medium Steel Blue!

You have one of the rarest colors and an even rarer (is that a word? ) interior.

Be sure and check the tech folders in the Excursion and V10 forums for tips and what to do after you buy a used V10.

Thumbs up Welcome

Nice X! I think you'll like it even more as time goes on, they grow on ya!

Hope yours has a rear sway bar; if not, get one soon- you won't believe the improvement!
Lots of other tips and help on this forum, it is the best.

I don't know if mine does or not. If not I know the 250 I'm getting my new rear springs from has one. Can I just use the 250 bar either way?

Thumbs up X sway bar

I would measure it with a caliper or equiv... there's a 26mm and a 30mm OEM version. You definitely want the bigger one. The attaching parts are the same, but bigger is better for the bar itself.
This is the single best thing I've done to mine
