Ok, maybe I WILL run one. Sounds like it may be needed after all! Thanks for the additional input guys.

Too bad they don't just make a higher psi-rated map sensor that'll work on our trucks. Seems weird to intentionally mislead a sensor that directly contributes to fueling rates in high power situations. I guess the various tuner programs are just set up to keep increasing fuel with increasing pedal, and rpm once over a certain boost level?

Maybe I should put mine back on.

I did put it back on today. The map side of the boost fooler I connected to my coolingmist control that operates on boost. The IC pipe side of the boost fooler I connected to my boost gauge. The boost gauge acted normal but the map side of the boost controller only showed 18 psi boost max. I guess it works, I'll leave it on for awhile and see if it pulls any better. The boost fooler is center left in the picture.

Looks like youve got some ports on that baby! Mines just a simple one from the plenum to the map w a pressure regulator that comes pre-set...

This is where I got mine. Down near the bottom it talks about compressor regulators.

ok, boost fooler it is, then! now to decide which one... looks like they're the same price.

now on to the next question - i am starting to work on my doors and went to take the power doors off of my parts cab. the passenger door came off no problem, and i found that the one connector on the driver door that was common to my non-power door was right where i expected it to be. i did not locate a connector for the other thicker harness... does the power driver door harness really go all the over to the passenger side behind the dash with no connector in between? it sure looks that way!

Hindsight is always 20/20 but knowing your a wrencher you can just go down to napa, lowes, home depot and get a psi regulator, 3/8nptx1/4" hose barb fittings and hose and whip it up yourself.. Maybe you could even find a little 90 degree bracket.. Iirc my fooler comes set @ 22 psi.. I forget what overboost is 26 27ish?
So all u gotta do is set it yourself w your air comp...

I am 99% sure there is a specific harness for power windows that goes behind dash.

i was thinking the same thing, but one of those sites did specifically mention that off-the-shelf regulators don't work well. ... of course, they're trying to sell you a regulator of their own. maybe i'll look for a decently high end one. and give it a try if the dollars make sense. ...why do it the easy way? :-)

Yes the harness for power windows goes one side to the other behind the dash. I have my dash out right now and can snap a pic for you if you like. It runs just below the windshield.
