2002 7.3 No start when hot

Hey everyone,
I have a 2002 7.3 F-250 with only 130k on it. I've been having problems for the past couple months with the truck not starting after it warms up to operating temp. It'll run great while driving but once I shut it off it WILL NOT START until it cools down. But now the problem is getting worse because now I'm only able to drive about 30 min before the truck dies on me on the road and will not start until it cools down. When the problem first started the only thing I did was change the fuel filter in hopes it was that simple. But that was a couple months ago, and I'm still trapped with these growing problems. I've done research and I have an idea of it possibly being a bad IPR or failing HPOP. I called the local Ford dealer and they want $2000 for the repair and I thought before I go and spend that money (which I think is ridiculous, but I'm not sure if that's reasonable), I would ask if someone had a similar problem I'm having to confirm or diagnose this problem. Thanks everyone, your help would be appreciated!!!

Did you replace the CPS. They go all the time, once the windings get warn they open, no cam signal no start. If you can scan it look for a CPS code or watch live data while cranking should show RPM. Thats the most common cause for no starts on our trucks.

David 7.3,
I change the CPS yesterday and I remembered that part was recalled a few years ago and was replaced by the Ford dealer. Before I changed it out I ran my truck until it was warmed up and it wouldn't start when I tried turning over. After 15 minutes I changed it and fired right up. I took it for a drive and it ran fine like it usually does. An hour later when I tried again it wouldn't start... Do you think it could be an electrial problem or a bad IPR or HPOP? Thank you for the help, you were the only one who gave me a starting point.
