52 six cylinder manifolds questions

I am trying to take off the intake and exhaust manifolds on a 1952 6 cylinder.

1. How many bolts hold them both on? I took off 10.
2. Do the two manifolds come off together or separately?
3. The truck has sat since about 1967. Shall I pry them off with a large screwdriver? Or tap them with a hammer? I do not want to crack them.

Abe - take them off as a set, they should come off the engine no problem. And don't try to force them to come part. Ask me how I know that! There is a bolt that goes up through the exhaust into the intake, but on mine removing it made no difference. Rust welds the two manifolds together and the only hope of separating them is to soak them a long time. And go easy on the heat, again, I know about that. Good thing I had my original and two spare 215s. Stu

But they didn't come off the engine 'no problem'. Shall I pry them off with a large srewdricer?

Are there more than ten bolts?

You must have missed a bolt somewhere. They should fall right off if all of the bolts are out.

Put down the screwdriver and slowly back away with your hands where I can see them...
