I just acquired the newest member of my Ford family a 2wd 1989 F-Super Duty F-450 7.3 idi 5 speed with 100,000 miles. it's in need of spring hangers a center link up front it's got the death wobble. I am having trouble finding parts. All the parts stores I've been to tell me they don't handle stuff that heavy. All the online places only have parts for 99 and up for f-450. I can get engine parts at any local auto parts store however everything else on the truck is very hard to find. does anyone know where I can get parts for the beast. any suggestions would be much appreciated thank you

I just checked rockauto.com and they show parts for 89 sd. If you try to look up an 89 F450 you won't find anything... They didn't call the that back then.

 

I found that many RV's use the same chassis and Ford actually still had parts available for it so the parts guy searched the Motor home chassis and found what I needed as where the F-superduty said unavailable/obsolete. I forget the designation like F35chassis or something, someone will chime in.
