Ones anyone have a battery cover plate that goes on the right hand running board for a 1952 ford F-8 for sale?

Thanks everyone...

I'm not familiar with a battery being on the running board. On all the Ford trucks I have seen, including my 49 F-7, the battery is under the hood. Can you post a picture of what you need?

I agree. My F8 has the battery under the hood. Unless it's a COE (to which you didn't elaborate), AFAIK the battery isn't anywhere near the running board originally.

Well I was specific as I could be. A 1952 ford F-8.
F-8s were never COE's. Anyone whom does not have a 1952 year F-7 or 8 is correct, the battery goes elsewhere. ONLY on the 1952 ford F-7 or 8 does the battery mount under the cab behind the plate on the running board . I'll try to post a picture of my board.

I can't seem to post a photo with my phone, but there is a picture of it in one of my photo albums in my profile.

I looked at your pictures. It looks like you will h ave a nice rig. I saw the hole for the battery on the running board... interesting. It looks like it was a precursor of things to come as 53-56 have the battery at the same site but access was through a hole in the floor of the cab. Were 51 F-8's this way also?

I guess we all learned something here today.

This was due to Ford going with the Lincoln Y Block that year instead of the 337 flathead. It left no room under the good for the Battery. And yes there is a very small door on the cab floor, under the seat on the passengers side as a way to access the top of the Battery.

It makes sense now. I know the bigger trucks got the Lincoln Y-block but didn't know about no room under the hood for the battery. Thanks!

Correct only the 1952. And I wish they left it that way for 1953's and up
easier on my old back to simply slide the battery out. So its kind of rare for
a one year thing. Really not hard to fab one up. sam

Thanks Big Job. I feel a bit vindicated. I have been told all kinds of things about this truck of mine to; it's got the wrong engine in it to; some company had to have modified the cab or running board. Nope this one is bone stock engine and cab wise.
