What is this wire and what does it do ? I am in stalling a e fuel pump in my 85 6.9. This wire comes off the glow plug Harness will it effect vehicle operation in any way if deleted?
That wire is going to the inline fuel heater. You may or may not need it. For someone like me who lives in California, no you don't need it, but elsewhere, it's probably a good idea to keep it connected.
was always curious what that wire was for. heck I started my truck in 20 degree weather and didn't have any issues.. truck was not plugged in and running the winter blend of diesel kleen
