Need help getting dually on the rd

So I haven't gotten this truck on the rd yet but ready to.Bought a few weeks ago the pump went out & I fixesld that anyways its a 99.5 f350 l.b.c.c. 4x4 dually The brakes are barley there & if I look under the fender on rear drivers side there's some wetness on the side off the gas tank which the brake line runs near so I'm wondering if that's leaking. Also on the passengers side the back of the wheel is wet.I'm new to duallys I'm not sure if it is an axle seal or the brakes.I need to pull the wheel &inspect the brakes. If it appears to be the axle seal is it a big deal?I'm going now to try to find some older threads.
Just with being new to these trucks any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

The brake line tends to rust out there on the driver side. But you could have axle seals leaking also which would cause you to have to change the parking brakes. The axles pull out easy but it takes a special socket for the drums. Any parts store carries them.

If you have surgical tools and the patience of Job, you can do the entire rear brake job without removing the axle. I am not a big-wrench guy - I'm a surgical tools guy. My money is on the brake lines leaking, with the symptoms you describe.

Are you losing brake fluid? Have you bled the rear brakes? If you dive in, get new hardware before you start... the parking brake lever commonly rusts up and seizes. I applied lithium to the new parking brake lever, in hopes of delaying a repeat of the seizing.

It's been a while Rich since I did mine but I'm sure he has to pull the axle's on the dually to work on the parking brakes.
