Frank, Like all the others have said have a safe trip my friend! we're all riding with you in spirit!! really none of our business but this long trip sounds like a residency move over just a camping trip.......
I know your truck is up for the trip because of the way you care for it....I'm not worried about that in the slightest!

When do you think you will be passing through Reno? I'll buy you a cold one, if it is a day I am not driving (this coming week I drive Tues, Wed, Thurs). I can point you towards a real nice place to camp for free too!

Reno is 1785 miles from where I'm at now, (just west of St. Louis ) so it's difficult to say when I'll be there. I'll update you as I get closer.
Free camping sounds good!

No sight seeing for me. Just what I can see from the highway.
I need to get there and get working.
I hope to tour the sites one day on a motorcycle. Just don't have the time yet.
Miami to AK.... Now that is a trip! I would go crazy

I'm tired of paying for shipping so I'm moving closer. 😜lol
Just an added bonus. I'm getting back Into local trucking. Florida wages are rubbish & I don't speak the language.🙊

Back when I had my Trans Am hobby alive I lived 20 mins from summit racing. It's just my thing 😀

Oh , almost forgot. I've made it half way. I'm in st Joseph Mo. North of Kansas City.
I'm at the loves for the night. Gonna give the back seat a try tonight. The front seat about killed me last night.
Thanks for keeping an eye out for me, the pm's, well wishes.
If I keep making good time I should be pulling into my new home weds afternoon.

I'll keep this up to date.
Mods, I know this thread is OT, but what a feeling of relief I have knowing that so many brothers are looking out for me while I travel 3200 alone. It speaks volumes to the brotherhood we have here!

I'm going to assume that while moving your whole life in a trailer with retracted slide-outs - getting to your bed would involve monkey bars.

Well the first night it was still muggy out, so I needed the truck ac to keep us cool (no generator to run camper ac)
Last night it was too late to book an Rv park. I wanted to get to the half way mark & that meant driving 855 miles.

Actually the bedroom is easily accessible, but my onboard 12v battery went dead so I cant drop the landing gear or slide the bedroom slider out.
I've always assumed it would get power from the truck, but I guess I need to double check my 7 way plug.

I did a 700-mile trip in one shot last year, and my record is 1000 miles in one shot - but I was much younger then. I can still do it, but I'm at that point in my life where I ask "why should I?"

That's a hard burn, my friend. Be safe. Oh... and be rested when you hit the Rockies and the Cascades - you will need to focus.
