So my 2000 250 4x had a 50 front?
I sure thought that was a 60.

Correct. Dana 50. The easiest way to tell is the pinion nut

Dana 50 1-1/8"
Dana 60 1-5/16"

Don't worry, VERY common misconception. I just wanted to nip it in the bud

Huh.well I stand corrected.

Either way I will take a mono beam 50 over a ttb aany day!

They are pretty dependable from what I have dealt with

You're gonna make me go check my pinion nut. I hadn't looked into it much, but that giant front axle sure looked like a 60 to me at first glance. Don't really care too much either way, but now I wanna know. Lol

Ya.I'm gonna check my coworkers 250. Heck any straight axle is better than a ttb. The 50 ttb sucks because its ttb more than anything imo

They use the same ball joints, brakes, u-joints, axles, diff cover, etc. It is just the ring gear size where the difference lies
