Come on, everyone knows you can't pull a trailer with a 5.4.

Gotta add my 2 cents. Crew Cabs are for men who wanted a truck but mama put her foot down and said only if it has four doors like a soccer mom's car. We call them soccer dad trucks.

That is one of the reasons I like a truck with no options and everything manual(and it works when I want it to). After you add a diesel, automatic, power windows, locks, dvd, navigation screens, carpet, crew cabs, etc, that payload gets eaten up in a hurry and you're left with a 250 that can haul less than a ranger.

This thread is insane. All we're missing is diesel vs. gas debate. Everything (crew cab, supercab, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton) has its use. Buy what's best for you and be happy with it.

Maybe it's different out of the city, but 99% of work trucks are bought, left stock, and run into the ground. Companies don't want to waste time and money modifying a truck. They want what's going to do the work, for the longest time, with the least money invested. That's what regular cab 2wd f250s with a 5.4 are everywhere you look around here.

hey man, you just sound like a fool with this comment, to easily discredit you here, just take a look at the working super duty thread, 95% of the rigs are of CC configuration. your $0.02 aren't worth a $0.005, and your comment is purely based on emotion. CCs were designed just for that, getting an entire crew out to the job site in a single vehicle, your soccer dad comment is just ridiculous.

my apologies in advance as i anticipate no good will result here.

With all due respect, do you drive a soccer dad truck? Sounds like your emotions are running high. Sorry if I touched a nerve.

Sure - just unbolt them. I put a 3" spacer under mine and built a nice toolbox
under the seat.

You sound like you dont operate your own business with a crew of three or more? Have crew in the back seats getting in and out of a two door while plowing driveways would be a royal pain in the ****. Two door work trucks are good for smaller businesses or companies that dont need large crews.

Obviously the 6.2 guys are meager peasants that can't afford a diesel.

because obviously they don't pull heavy trailers all the time and if they do they don't mind paying for the extra gas for doing so,
pulled my brothers 40' 5ver and got close to 14mpg doing so, can you do that with a 6.2?
