Am I the only one that thinks Crew Cabs are ugly

I modified my 150 properly to handle a large lift, heavier larger wheels unlike those people that lift a truck and install larger tires for "looks" only. Mine is more than looks and can handle plenty of work.

So in hour eyes the 2014 F250 6.2L is also a turd? I had to modify this truck to properly handle 37s? To handle my work? So a stock 250 also had to be modified.

As can half tons, or even "1/4" ton Rangers, or even a Ford Fiesta, providing the work is commensurate with the job and load required. Not everyone needs a F250 or F350 to get the job done, using one of those to run a medical dispatch to a lab across town would only need a Fiesta, and it would be a waste of fuel and ability to easily park in a metropolitan area using such a large vehicle (IE full size truck) to carry a small ice chest, on the flip side, doing what I do I could really use a F450 with a 10' or 12' box (unavailable so far from Ford), even the F450 have a ridiculously small (for the size of the truck) 8' box!
After all these are only tools to get a job done! As mentioned by myself before, would anyone use a 24" crescent wrench to try and take out a 5/16" bolt? Nope, you would select the right size tool to get the job done!
So everything is ready to work for its intended purpose, load, etc right off the showroom floor.
And sorry, I realize this is a bit off topic, but I think sometimes people loose track of what they really need to get the job done, both too big and too small.
Not sure why this turned into a half ton verses Super Duty discussion, but sometimes threads wind around several different topics as they mature

As you mention this, i think our shop Ranger with a ladder rack, boss plow and class 3 hitch has plowed more snow, hauled more steel and lumber, towed more crap then half the f-250s i pass daily. That poor Ranger has been abused every day of its life and overloaded many times and keeps on going...something to be said!

How many times have you plowed driveways with 4 people in the truck?
You boys sound like 12 year olds. Lets face it, 98% of you drive your 4 doors around by yourself. The truth be known you are trying to impress someone at the red light you are never going to meet. Its the american way.
I said it 3-4 pages ago-- The bigger the truck the smaller the manhood. Its an old wives tale.

Really? Man I must have a micro-winkie since I drive an F-450 pretty much daily. Or, and just go with it for a minute, it might have something to do with the 17k lb 43' camper I lug around in the summer. Or (hang in there) maybe the 28' 26K gooseneck I tote around when I feel like doing something work related.
Or maybe it is just a small winkie thing.

I'm a shiny-new member to the forum, have owned my first ex-cab for just over a year. My opinion is that Crew-cabs MUST have long beds to look good/right. (Why buy a truck, if you've still gotta put a flag screw-hole in your wood?) If ya can't park it, I'll gladly send you a link for the closest Kia dealership... was that a decent opening post?
It's all about personal preference. I feel just the opposite. A CC with a long bed looks goofy to me, unless it's a dually, then that's ok. To me a CC short box is proportioned just right.

Won't say ugly!
I won't say ugly but not preferred from a purely looks perspective. In fact I prefer a standard cab over extended cabs as well. If however I was hauling a family I would not think twice.

look i seen a picture on the internet of someone hauling it so it must be what it can handle.
ya 37 inch tires on a plow truck is really silly. heck most plow mounts are supposed to be between 6 to 9 inches off the ground max. the lower the better for a plow truck to an extent.

I own an F250 that will tow those and stay under the GVWR. The F450 was simply a waste of money.
I just didn't waste payload weight on cab I didn't need or engine that wasn't necessary.
