7.3 swap
I am looking to swap my 460 bbf for a 7.3. I keep finding 2wd f350. Are the trans in a 350 2wd the same as a 250 4wd. I know i have read it somewhere, but I'm not sure if thats only for the 4spd and not a zf5.
If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

2wd and 4wd trans are different. On 4wd, the transfer case bolts to the back of the trans...

I knew that for the most part, but some older bw trans have the same tail. I just wanted to make sure that didn't carry through to the any others.

only if it was used with a divorced transfer case, or was used in the F-superduty.
and you need a diesel trans, the gas trans will not bolt to the diesel block
