Would it work if I just pulled all the useless wires and plugged it back in?

Or will I have to run the wires to their perspective switches.
Okay, I'm slow on the uptake because I am struggling to figure out your questions and reply in a way that makes sense while in a reply window on mobile.

1) Find the computer INSIDE the truck.
2) take the plug THAT COMES OUT OF SAID COMPUTER and strip those wires from the bulkhead connector.
3) None of this has ANYTHING to do with lighting, wipers, AC, etc...

Okay so what is the bulkhead connector then?
And which wires do I take out?

WHAT "ties into your harness that you're trying to remove"?

Don't you have a big round plug going through the firewall into the cab???

I don't know how to be any clearer about how to find the harness coming from the computer.

1) find the computer under the dash.
2) find the wires coming from the computer.

BTW, you really should go back and edit the title of this thread in the advanced edit window...

You don't have DuraSpark and you're not installing DuraSpark.

If your thread was titled something like "removing everything about the EEC-IV computer from my truck" you might get some better responses.

(Though fmc400 and 1986F150six are very knowledgeable and offer good advice)

I've got that. I have the computer plug out and I was tracing wires and I found stuff I needed (lioe my ac, my wiper motor, my voltage regulator, etc)went to it and that confused me.

How do I change the title?

I figured I would get more help adding with the ds2 since more people do the swap.

None of that is coming FROM your computer...

If you want to strip a bunch of **** out of your truck you are going to have to open up some tape and remove individual wires.

A swap that has nothing to do with what is already in your truck, or what you intend to install for an ignition system?

1) go to your first post.
2) 'edit post'
3) 'advanced edit'
4) this brings you to a window where you can edit the title of the thread in addition to your initial post

I have everything torn down to just wires, it's a rat's nest on my cross member.

The plug for my wiper motor goes into the harness that runs into the plug for that computer.

I'll drive out to the shop in a few and take some pictures and show you what I'm talking about.

Where does your computer harness go to the crossmember???

This doesn't make any sense to me.

It's all sitting on top of it(no motor or front end)
I'm having issues with the pictures and being on my phone.

Okay, I get that you have your harness spread all over the bay without the engine in place.

I can't figure out photo posting from mobile.
Once I get to wifi and my pictures back up to G+ I can figure out how to post those url's.

Eh, I'm too old to understand all this "newfangled comput'n"

I love the Google plus backup. You never know when you need to get a new phone from it sliding off your truck after an important day/weekend and lost everything.

I use Drive and Dropbox!
Fortunately I haven't driven off -or over- my phone yet.

I have corrupted the SD and bricked it a couple of times though.
