We get that alot Devin. I dispatch the university police so it is worse for us. We had one last year. Pedestrian hit on a major road. Tossed the kid at least 30 feet from point of impact. Kid was lucky only a few broken bones. But what made that one an bad is we have a pedestrian bridge that crosses the main road she ran across. If the kid had taken that would never have been hit. For the city FD they have 3 universities inthe first due for the engine and truck. Us, and 2 others.

City has about 20 medis total Devin. They dont hardly see a station because of teh amount of calls they run. Sometimes it has taken upwards of 20 minutes for an ambo to arrive. So an engine or truck is sent as a first responder. All engines and trucks in Baltimore City are staffed with at least 1 paramedic and most of the essential paramedic supplies and equipment needed until a wagon arrives. next due station is also an engine and a truck for the university. Now at home first due station has an engine, truck, medic, ems supervisor, brush and a hazmat satellite unit. next due station has 2 engines, medic, and 2 special units as well as a utility. 3rd due is 2 engines, 2 medics, brush unit. One station has an air unit and an engine. One of the volly stations near my house has a marine unit, 2 engines special unit, brush truck, and rescue squad. the area I live in has 6 fire stations. 2 of which are volunteer. The county as a whole has more then that. It is a combo department.
