I dont have many places to put a hi lift on the truck. And most of my recovery gear lives under the back seat or in the door pockets for easy access. I keep my winch controls in the drivers side front door pockets. 1 recovery strap in the drivers side rear door pocket. My winch accessory kit is under the passenger side rear seat for quick access from either side. Also have the second strap in the passenger front door. Also keep the hitch pin handy in the drivers side front door if I need it.

Hilift makes a bed mount that mounts it above the wheel wells. Might be worth a look.

I have thought of getting an X jack for the truck since it would be alot easier to stow and use then a hi lift. Not many places I could lift the truck from with the hi lift.

 

Looks like the USCGC Eagle will be in town this weekend. Might have to go down and take a tour of her.
